LONDON (Alliance News) - Anti-germ technology firm Byotrol PLC on Thursday said it has successfully registered two new versions of its surface cleaner Byotrol24.
The new variants use newly developed fragrances, which the company said shows the user it continues to work for over 24 hours.
Now the two approvals have been secured, it can now supply Byotrol 24 to US retailing partner Target Corp, which will put them in store from April 2019.
Byotrol has further versions of the product in development, and it hopes to have them released from October.
Chief Executive David Traynor commented: "We have learnt a lot about US consumer requirements for products of this type and are now tailoring Byotrol24 based on those learnings. This includes working closely with specialist US fragrance houses that are highly-attuned to US consumer tastes.
"We are very encouraged Target is now putting us into many more of its stores and we are now also talking to other potential US retailers. The US opportunity remains substantial and we continue to make very good progress, but we will remain cautious on spending until we have material revenue traction."
Shares were 7.2% higher on Thursday at a price of 2.63 pence each.
