Bushveld Minerals Appoints Michael Kirkwood As Non-Executive Director

LONDON (Alliance News) - Bushveld Minerals Ltd, a vanadium miner, said Wednesday it has appointed Michael Kirkwood as senior independent non-executive director starting from April 1.

Kirkwood is an experienced former international banker, having held senior positions at Citigroup during his 31 year career.

During his career in finance, Kirkwood has held appointments as chairman of British American Business Inc, as president and a fellow of The Chartered Institute of Bankers and as deputy chairman of the British Bankers Association.

Ian Watson, Chairman of Bushveld Minerals Ltd, said: "We are delighted to welcome Michael to the Board. He has extensive expertise both in mining and in finance which we believe will be invaluable to the Company as we continue to deliver our strategy of further developing Bushveld as a global leading integrated vanadium player. Shares in Bushveld Minerals were trading up 3.33% at 12.40 pence each Wednesday afternoon.
