(Alliance News) - Vanadium producer Bushveld Minerals Ltd on Thursday reported a record annual output from its Vametco mine in South Africa.
In 2019, production at Vametco climbed 11% to 2,833 metric tonnes of vanadium, a record, from 2,560 in 2018.
Vametco also achieved a quarterly production record of 880 metric tonnes of vanadium during the fourth quarter. This was a 32% year-on-year surge from 665 metric tonnes of vanadium.
For 2020, Bushveld expects vanadium production at Vametco of between 3,000 metric tonnes and 3,200 metric tonnes, meaning output could climb as high as 13% year-on-year.
Bushveld shares were 0.1% lower at 19.88 pence each in London on Thursday afternoon.
