LONDON (Alliance News) - BT Group PLC said Tuesday that its BT Sport service has signed up former footballer Paul Scholes as a pundit in a four-year deal.
Scholes, who formerly played for Manchester United, will join the panel of analysts for live matches in the Barclays Premier League from the start of the season. He will also work as a pundit covering the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League from the start of the 2015-16 season.
BT Sport also said Tuesday that it had signed a deal for up to four exclusively live matches a week from the Portuguese Primeira Liga, taking its total to six European leagues.
Shares in BT Group were trading up 0.7% at 385.84 pence Tuesday afternoon.
