LONDON (Alliance News) - BT Group PLC said Thursday it has struck a deal with Alphabet Inc's video streaming site YouTube to stream its Freeview BT Sport Showcase channel on YouTube for both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League finals.
The company said that by doing so, it will bring the match to viewers who do not yet subscribe to its BT Sport service.
BT's mobile network EE will also introduce a new offer to bring the BT Sport service to its customers, initially to those on 4GEE pay monthly mobile plans, "in time for the start of the next football season".
Details and pricing will be revealed this summer, BT said.
Shares in BT were up 0.8% at 440.30 pence Thursday morning.
