BT Group Says Openreach's CEO Liv Garfield To Step Down To Join Severn Trent

18th Nov 2013 07:45

LONDON (Alliance News) - Communications services provider BT Group PLC Monday said Liv Garfield will step down as CEO of Openreach, infrastructure unit of BT group, to take up the role of CEO at Severn Trent, a provider of water and waste water.

Severn Trent separately announced that Liv will take up the role post the retirement of Tony Wray in Spring 2014.

BT said that the successor to Liv will be announced in due course of time.

Garfield has been at BT since 2002 and has been CEO of Openreach since 2011, having held several positions at BT, such as Group Director of Strategy and Regulation, MD Commercial & Brands and UK Customer Services Director, within BT's Global Services division.

Garfield is also a non executive director of Tesco.
