(Alliance News) - BT Group PLC on Friday announced a number of board changes, including the replacement of Deutsche Telekom AG representative Timotheus Hottges.
Hottges joined the telecommunications company's board as Deutsche Telekom's nominated representative following BT's acquisition of EE Ltd in 2016 and will depart on May 15. Deutsche Telekom is entitled to nominate a non-executive director to BT's board as long as it holds a stake of 10% of more in BT.
The new Deutsche Telekom nominee is Adel Al-Saleh, currently chief executive of Deutsche Telekom subsidiary -Systems International GmbH. He joins BT from May 15 and will be a member of its nominations committee.
Further, BT Non=Executive Director Nick Rose will be resigning at the conclusion of the firm's July 16 annual general meeting after more than nine years in the role. Iain Conn will succeed Rose as senior independent director.
Shares in BT were up 0.3% at 116.38 pence in London at midday on Friday.
