Brooks Macdonald Non-Exec Stewart Leaves To Become LSL Property Boss

1st May 2020 13:02

(Alliance News) - LSL Property Services PLC on Friday said it has appointed David Stewart as chief executive officer with immediate effect.

Stewart replaces Ian Crabb, who left the business at the end of April but will be available to assist the handover of the role to Stewart for a number of months.

In turn, Brooks Macdonald Group PLC said Stewart will resign as non-executive director of investment management services provider at the end of July.

The company said it will announce a replacement non-executive director in due course.

Stewart joined LSL Property Services as a non executive director in May 2015, and has chaired the Audit & Risk Committee since April 2016. He served as chief executive of Coventry Building Society between July 2006 and March 2014, a period that included the Global Financial Crisis.

David will retain his role as chair of the Enra Group of companies.

"David is an experienced chief executive, with a track record of success both in growing businesses and in managing during periods of uncertainty. His detailed knowledge of financial services will be invaluable as we seek to continue to build our capability in this sector, whilst maximising the potential of our estate agency and surveying operations," said LSL Non-Executive Chair Simon Embley.

LSL shares were trading 1.9% lower in London on Friday at 158.00 pence each, while Brooks Macdonald shares were up 2.3% at 1,550.00p each.
