Brooks Macdonald Deputy CEO To Revitalise International Business

28th Mar 2019 13:35

LONDON (Alliance News) - Brooks Macdonald Group PLC said Deputy Chief Executive Andrew Shepherd now also will head the investment manager's Channel Islands-based international business as part of a development plan for the unit.

Shepherd will step down from the company's board from April 1 to focus on realising the potential of the international business, the investment management company said. He will remain as group deputy chief executive and will pass his distribution division responsibilities - as managing director - to John Wallace, co-head of the company's UK investment management division.

Brooks Macdonald said Shepherd will take over the reins of the international business from Darren Zaman, chief executive of the business since past five years, who has decided to leave the business.

Richard Hughes will be appointed Deputy Chief Executive of International business in addition to his current responsibilities as head of business development, the company added.

"International is an important part of our group and our future growth strategy. Andrew's depth of experience and expertise, alongside his people leadership and commitment to client service, will be central to our efforts to revitalise the business so that it contributes strongly to the Group's future success," said Group Chief Executive Caroline Connellan.

Shares in Brooks Macdonald were up 1.2% higher at 1,710.00 pence each on Thursday afternoon.
