LONDON (Alliance News) - British Smaller Co VCT PLC Thursday said its net asset value and total return both increased during the last financial year.
The company said its total return per share had risen to 208.7 pence at the end of the financial year to March from 197.5 pence a year earlier whilst its net asset value per share rose to 100.0 pence from 98.8 pence, after paying dividends.
The total dividend for the year came in at 10.0 pence, comprised of an interim dividend of 2.0 pence, a special dividend of 4.5 pence and a final dividend of 3.5 pence.
The underlying growth in the investment portfolio pushed up the value by GBP10.3 million in the year, broken down into GBP6.5 million of unrealised value growth and GBP3.8 million of gains from disposals - representing a year-on-year lift of almost 19%.
The portfolio generated income of GBP3.4 million, up 46% from GBP1.8 million last year.
British Smaller Co shares were untraded at 94.0 pence per share on Thursday.
