13th Aug 2025 10:19

(Alliance News) - British Land Co PLC on Wednesday said it signed nine new UK-based biotech and health tech startups for its new co-working lab space adjacent to Regent's Place.

Further, the London-based property investment company said Relation doubled its footprint at Regent's Place to 13,000 square feet from 6,000 sq ft. Relation was founded in 2020 and uses machine learning and functional genomics to speed up drug discovery through the use of artificial intelligence. It has raised over USD106 million over recent years and secured two major partnerships with GSK PLC, targeting fibrotic diseases and osteoarthritis.

Rosie Rodriguez, senior vice president of Growth at Relation said: "British Land's campus model will enable the kind of ecosystem we need to turn pioneering science into transformational medicines, and we're proud to be part of a reality that’s reimagining what’s possible across the campus."

Michael Wiseman, head of Campuses at British Land said: "At our Regent's Place campus, we've created a unique ecosystem for London where science and technology businesses can grow, providing space for businesses at every stage of their journey. Whether it’s early-stage innovators or established leaders, our vibrant hub — with flexible lab-office space, proximity to world-class institutions, and a culture of collaboration — helps businesses become operational quickly, optimising their science and scaling from here."

British Land shares were up 0.8% at 344.00 pence each on Wednesday morning in London.
