British Land Names Halfords Finance Boss Woodhouse As Non-Executive

23rd Feb 2021 08:30

(Alliance News) - British Land Co PLC on Tuesday said it appointed Loraine Woodhouse as a non-executive director, with effect from March 1.

The London-based real estate investment trust said Woodhouse will chair the audit committee from the end of March, at which time Preben Prebensen will step down from his role as interim chair of audit but will remain a member of the committee.

Woodhouse has been chief financial officer of Halfords Group PLC since November 2018. Prior to joining Halfords, she spent five years in senior finance roles within the John Lewis Partnership. In 2014, Woodhouse was appointed acting group finance director and then, subsequently, finance director of Waitrose.

"I am delighted to welcome Loraine to the British Land board and as chair of our audit committee. She has extensive experience across all finance disciplines and has worked within many different sectors including real estate and retail," said Chair Tim Score.

British Land shares were trading 2.4% higher in London on Tuesday morning at 486.60 pence each.
