British Land Inks Deal With Cineworld For Speke Shopping Park

23rd Oct 2015 09:05

LONDON (Alliance News) - Property developer British Land Co PLC on Friday said the Speke Unit Trust has exchange contracts with cinema operator Cineworld PLC for an 11-screen cinema at the New Mersey Shopping Park in Speke in Liverpool.

Speke Unit Trust is managed by fund manager Schroders PLC and advised by British Land.

The letting to Cineworld follows the trust securing planning permission in July for a new leisure extension and wider upgrade works at the shopping park.

The works are due to start in early 2016, British Land said.

Shares in British Land were down 0.2% to 868.00 pence on Friday.
