(Alliance News) - FTSE 250-listed investment manager Brewin Dolphin Holdings PLC on Tuesday said it has hired Toby Strauss as its new chair effective from the conclusion of its annual general meeting on February 5, replacing Simon Miller.
Miller joined the board of Brewin in 2005, became senior non-executive director & deputy chair in 2012, and has been chair since 2013.
Incoming Chair Strauss is currently a non-executive director of life insurance & financial services firm Legal & General Group PLC as well as chair of insurance services provider Pacific Life Re. He was previously director for insurance at Lloyds Banking Group PLC and chief executive of Aviva PLC's UK life and pension businesses.
"I am delighted to welcome Toby to Brewin Dolphin and look forward to working with him. He brings a wealth of commercial and financial services and experience, which will add to the board's broader expertise," said Brewin Dolphin Senior Independent Director Ian Dewar.
Shares in Brewin Dolphin were trading 1.3% lower at 274.00 pence each on Tuesday morning in London.
