(Alliance News) - Brave Bison Group PLC on Wednesday said it has been selected by Hero Caribbean Premier League to manage the cricket organisation's YouTube content, channels, rights, monetisation and audience development.
The social media and marketing group noted Hero CPL is a franchise-based T20 format cricket tournament that combines cricket and a Carnival atmosphere, noting the 2020 season saw a combined broadcast and digital viewership of over 500 million.
Under the new contract, both companies will work to grow and optimise Hero Caribbean's YouTube channel which currently has 823,000 subscribers. Brave Bison will also act as a consultant on best practices and creative and innovative content strategies.
No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
"We're excited to be partnering with CPL T20 and to be adding one of the premier events in World Cricket to our roster of major global sporting events. We were really impressed by CPL T20's growth in 2020 and can't wait to scale new heights with them in 2021," said Rich Pilcher, head of sport at Brave Bison.
Shares in Brave Bison were trading 0.4% higher at 1.40 pence each on Wednesday morning in London.
