(Alliance News) - Brave Bison Group PLC on Monday said its Snapchat show Slick has seen "enormous" growth since its launch in December.
The social video company's shares were trading 11% higher at 1.25 pence each on Monday morning in London, having reached 1.39p earlier.
Brave Bison said the Snapchat Discover show - aimed at a young audience and focused on male grooming - has attracted over 40 million unique viewers. In the first month, Slick built up 2 million subscribers, with a "highly-engaged" male audience of male aged 13 -24.
Snapchat Discover is a feature on the social media app that gives users up-to-date on current events, pop culture and other video content.
"We had strong faith in Snapchat, which led us to a period of experimentation on the platform. We started experimenting with what the audience wanted and tailoring the content specifically to that need. We have built a strong net revenue advertising business on Snapchat Discover. The fast success of Slick shows how effective the platform can be for content makers when all components are in place," said Brave Bison Chief Executive Kate Burns.
