Brammer Results To Be Second-Half Weighted But Outlook Affirmed

13th May 2016 06:46

LONDON (Alliance News) - Industrial maintenance, repair and overhaul products distributor Brammer PLC on Friday affirmed its expectations for 2016 but said its results will be weighted to the second half.

Brammer said challenging trading in the UK and the Nordics has been partially offset in the four months to the end of April by growth in continental Europe. Total sales per working day declined 2.0% for the group in the first four months year-on-year, driven by a 6.0% decline in the UK and 19% fall in the Nordics, which was only partially offset by 3.0% growth in Germany and 2.0% in France.

The company said it has made good progress on its stock-reduction programme and is on track to meet its targets for this year.

Brammer said there will be an increased weighting of its results to the second half in 2016, but it affirmed its expectations, dependent on its plans for improving trading in the UK and the Nordics paying off.
