Braemar Shipping Provides New Gas Carrier To Uniper Global Commodities

LONDON (Alliance News) - Braemar Shipping Services PLC said Monday a new liquid natural gas carrier has been delivered as part of its consultancy agreement with Uniper Global Commodities SE.

The 180,000 metre cubed carrier, called the LNG Schneeweisschen, was built in South Korea for Japanese owners MOL.

The ship may be provided to Uniper, Braemar said, under a 20-year transportation agreement.

Braemar's role in the deal was to identify and negotiate with shipyards and owners to ensure to most cost effective and efficient shipping solution for Uniper.

Chief Executive James Kidwell said: "Braemar is proud to be one of the only shipping services companies in the world able to provide its clients with the ability to design and deliver this type of project and is already working on delivering similar again in the very near future."

Braemar shares were 1.5% higher on Monday at a price of 265.00 pence each.
