BP Gives IT Services Contract To Indian Outsourcing Group Infosys

LONDON (Alliance News) - BP PLC has selected Indian outsourcing group Infosys Ltd to provide IT services across its operations, focused on application support and development.

The deal, the financial terms of which were not disclosed, will see Infosys provide IT services for the FTSE 100 oil group's corporate functions, upstream and downstream segments, energy trading and marketing units.

It includes BP's main facilities in Houston, Texas and in the UK, along with support for locations including Azerbaijan, Angola, Brazil and Singapore, Infosys said.

BP shares were up 0.7% to 487.15 pence on Thursday.
