LONDON (Alliance News) - Africa-focused oil and gas company Bowleven PLC on Monday said drilling operations have now started on the Zingana exploration well at the Bomono Permit in Cameroon.
The well is the first of two planned for the 2015 exploration programme, with the second, Moambe, being prepared for drilling.
The company said the drilling programme at the site had been delayed by mechanical and control issues with the rig fabric and equipment, but these issues have now been resolved.
Shares in Bowleven were up 0.2% to 31.05 pence on Monday.
