LONDON (Alliance News) - Africa focused oil and gas exploration company Bowleven PLC said Tuesday its Zingana well on the Bomono permit in Cameroon, has commenced flowing hydrocarbons.
This followed the installation of testing equipment. An extended well-testing programme at Zingana is planned to determine the productivity and connectivity of the shallower reservoir units, which is intended to provide a basis for the initial supply of gas under a gas-to-power development scheme, Bowleven said.
The company will make further announcement in due course.
Shares in Bowleven were up 0.2% at 22.55 pence Tuesday morning.
