LONDON (Alliance News) - Botswana Diamonds PLC on Friday said its joint venture exploration team is now working at the Orapa project in Botswana.
The company said drilling has now started on the PL 210 licence and will finish by the end of September, with work to start on the Gope prospecting licences after this is completed.
"Drilling anomaly AN 210-1 in the next few weeks will show us if there is a kimberlite on PL210. Visual results from the drilling will be forthcoming in October. On top of this we expect new drill targets to be identified on our other ground, both in Orapa and Gope," said Executive Chairman John Teeling.
Shares in Botswana Diamonds were up 7.3% to 0.885 pence on Friday morning.
