LONDON (Alliance News) - Botswana Diamonds PLC on Thursday said it has appointed James Campbell as its managing director with immediate effect.
Campbell worked in the past at African Diamonds, moving to Canadian diamond miner Lucara Diamond Corp when it bought African Diamonds, and most recently worked as the chief executive of South Africa-focused Rockwell Diamonds.
"We are absolutely delighted that James has decided to join Botswana Diamonds. He brings a wealth of experience and skills in the diamond industry, which I believe will help drive our joint ventures with Alrosa in Orapa and Gope forward," said Botswana Diamonds Chairman John Teeling.
Botswana Diamonds shares were up 1.4% at 1.77 pence on Thursday.
