Boohoo New Chief Executive Officer John Lyttle Joins Board

15th Mar 2019 08:35

LONDON (Alliance News) - Boohoo group PLC on Friday said new Chief Executive Officer John Lyttle joined the board with immediate effect.

Lyttle joined the online fashion retailer following an eight-year tenure as chief operating officer of Associated British Foods PLC's branch Primark Stores Ltd.

"His appointment is a key constituent of the group's strategy in positioning for its next stage of its growth, and coincides with Mahmud Kamani and Carol Kane, previously both joint CEOs, assuming the roles of group executive chair and group co-founder and executive director respectively," Boohoo said.

Meanwhile, Peter Williams stepped down from his role as non-executive chair with immediate effect.

The company is now undergoing a search to recruit two new independent non-executive directors, which is progressing well, it added.

Boohoo will publish its annual results on April 24.

Boohoo shares were trading down 0.7% at 177.00 pence each.
