LONDON (Alliance News) - BMR Mining PLC on Monday said that J A Consultancy has submitted the company's draft environmental social impact assessment to the Zambian Environmental Management Agency.
The company updated the market on its lead and zinc tailings re-treatment project in Kabwe.
The Zambian-focused mineral processing business said it will continue to hold regular meetings with the Zambian Environmental Management Agency during the review process.
"We are pleased to report this key step in our submission of a draft application to ZEMA as we continue to formulate our plans for the construction phase of our operational pilot plant," Alex Borrelli, chief executive and chairman, said in a statement.
Shares in BMR were up 14% at 6.70 pence on Monday morning.
