BMO Private Equity Trust Ups Quarterly Payout As Net Asset Value Rises

LONDON (Alliance News) - BMO Private Equity Trust PLC on Friday said its net asset value grew in the third quarter of its current financial year.

NAV per share in the three months to the end of September increased to 368.45 pence from 360.98p reported at the end of the same period a year ago.

BMO Private Equity Trust declared a quarterly dividend of 3.58p a share, up from 3.55p paid the year before.

The stock was trading 0.6% higher on Friday at 333.95p per share.

There was one new fund commitment during the quarter, the company said, with USD5 million invested in transatlantic healthcare private equity fund MVM V.

Meanwhile, the robust flow of exits continued, BMO Private Equity Trust noted. In the third quarter the proceeds from realisations and income amounted to GBP31.5 million, giving a total for the first nine months of the year of GBP61.4 million.

"The performance of our portfolio for the year to date provides confidence of further progress for shareholders in the remainder of the year," said Investment Manager Hamish Mair.
