LONDON (Alliance News) - Technology company blur Group PLC said Wednesday it was moving its global headquarters to a new science park in Exeter, and would be creating new jobs this year.
The company, which uses technology to link customers to service providers, is currently headquartered in London, and will retain offices there and in Dallas as regional commercial hubs.
Blur opened an research-and-development centre in Exeter earlier in the summer and said that by the end of September it would have 35 employees based there, with the same number remaining in London.
In a statement, the company, which counts Danone, Berlitz, GE Healthcare and the Financial Times among its customers, praised the South West's track record in innovation and entrepreneurship, pointing to the presence of four top-20 universities as examples of the region's attractions.
Blur's share price was flat at 331.00 pence Wednesday morning.
