LONDON (Alliance News) - BlueRock Diamonds PLC on Tuesday said it recovered an "exceptional" 8.97 carat diamond on Friday last week.
The AIM-listed diamond producer said the stone was independently valued in excess of USD50,000 and was mined from Kareevlei in the Kimberley region of South Africa.
Previously, the company has mined stones of 7.76 carat, recovered in 2017 and sold for USD10,070 per carat, as well as a 10.58 carat stone recovered in 2018 and sold for USD7,047 per carat.
BlueRock Diamonds shares were trading flat on Tuesday at 0.32 pence each.
