Bluejay Mining Submits Pre-Feasibility Study For Dundas Project

6th Jun 2019 11:47

LONDON (Alliance News) - Bluejay Mining PLC said Thursday it has submitted its pre-feasibility study for its Dundas ilmenite project in Greenland.

The study was presented to the Mineral Licence & Safety Authority and includes the project's mineral reserve and mine plan as well as the anticipated processing and associated infrastructure.

Bluejay completed the study based on annual production of 440,000 tonnes of ilmenite concentrate. Bluejay said the study is the most important part of its application for an exploitation permit for Dundas.

"The lodgement of this study marks the completion of the final module necessary to make an exploitation application and we expect to make this as soon as regulatory comments have been responded to. We are delighted to have completed and submitted this detailed document to the regulators. The conclusions drawn from this study indicate positive economic outcomes and low environmental impact, with strong social benefits," said Chief Executive Roderick McIllree.

Shares in the titanium miner were down 1.0% at 8.01 pence on Thursday.
