Bluejay Mining Lodges Licence Application For Dundas Project

(Alliance News) - Bluejay Mining PLC on Tuesday said it has formally lodged its exploitation licence application for the Dundas ilmenite Project to Greenland's Mineral Licence & Safety Authority.

The licence covers the onshore portion of Dundas and once approved will allow the company to produces 440,000 tonnes per annum. The defined mineral resource at Dundas stands at 117 metric tonnes at 6.1% ilmenite at a 0% cut-off grade, as well as a maiden offshore exploration target of between 300 and 530 metric tonne of ilmenite at an average expected grade range of 0.4 to 4.8% ilmenite in-situ.

Ilmenite is the main source of titanium dioxide, which is used in paints, printing inks, fabrics, plastics, paper, sunscreen, food and cosmetics.

The licence application consists of an environmental impact assessment, social impact assessment, mine plan, financial model JORC-compliant reserve statement and project study.

London-listed shares in Bluejay Mining were trading 0.2% higher at 9.04 pence each on Tuesday afternoon.
