Bluejay Mining In Final Permitting Stages For Dundas Ilmenite Project

22nd Nov 2018 11:34

LONDON (Alliance News) - Bluejay Mining PLC said Thursday it is in the final permitting stages for its Dundas ilmenite project in Greenland.

Shares in the mining company, which has projects in both Greenland and Finland, were up 6.4% at 11.70 pence on Thursday.

The three-year environmental impact assessment field work studies are now complete.

Moreover, data collection and collation will be completed in January for its social impact assessment.

These technical reports will now be handed in, as Bluejay prepares to submit its final environmental impact assessment.

Bluejay said the optimised pre-feasibility study of Dundas is on track to complete in the first 2019 quarter with an exploitation application to "be lodged soon thereafter".

"We are now in the final stages of permitting," said Bluejay Chief Executive Roderick McIllree.

"Although the field season is now concluded, we anticipate additional updates for shareholders before year-end which will further demonstrate the attractiveness and value of the world's highest-grade ilmenite sand project," McIllree added.
