Bluefield Solar Income Fund To Acquire Three Plants For GBP54 Million

LONDON (Alliance News) - Bluefield Solar Income Fund Ltd Monday said it is to acquire three UK-based, large scale solar plants for GBP54 million, including transaction costs and working capital.

In a statement, the company said the three assets comprise a 6.5 megawatt peak plant in Somerset, a 12.5MWp plant in Wiltshire, and a 29MWp plant in Oxfordshire. Each is expected to qualify under the 1.4 Renewable Obligation Certificate regime in the UK, the company said.

In addition, the company confirmed that it expects to meet its 7 pence per share target dividend for its current financial year, ending June 30.

Bluefield Solar Income Fund shares were untraded on Monday morning. The stock closed at 101.75 pence on Friday.
