Bloomsbury Publishing Says Chairman Salz To Step Down In July

20th Jan 2017 09:08

LONDON (Alliance News) - Bloomsbury Publishing PLC said Friday that Chairman Anthony Salz will step down at the time of its annual general meeting in July, as it appointed a new non-executive director to its board.

Steven Hall will join the board as a non-executive director, and at the same time Stephen Page will stand down, as part of the company's non-executive rotation policy.

Salz will step down as chairman and as a director in July, and the process to select his successor will be led by Senior Independent Director John Warren, Bloomsbury said.

Hall is managing director of Bristol-based IOP Publishing, the publishing company of scientific charity The Institute of Physics.

Shares in Bloomsbury were up 1.3% at 165.18 pence Friday.
