LONDON (Alliance News) - blinkx PLC said Monday that it had agreed a partnership with Crown Media Family Networks, which owns the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel, to provide targeted advertising using Crown Media's original content.
blinkx will use its AdHoc platform to place relevant advertising against Crown Media's content, with resulting revenue shared between Crown Media and itself.
blinkx saw its share price drop last Wednesday after an associate professor at Harvard Business School, Benjamin Edelman, published a blog titled "The Darker Side of Blinkx", which made negative allegations about its business model.
blinkx subsequently released a statement that "strongly refutes the assertions made and the conclusions drawn in the blog post". The company pointed out that Edelman said he had "prepared a portion of this article at the request of a client that prefers not to be listed by name".
Shares in blinkx were trading up 7.1% at 136.50 pence Monday morning.
