Blancco Appoints Matt Jones As New Chief Executive Officer

LONDON (Alliance News) - Data security company Blancco Technology Group PLC announced on Wednesday the appointment of Matt Jones as new chief executive and board director.

Jones was most recently CEO of E8 Security, a pioneer in behavioural intelligence and cybersecurity based in the USA. Prior to joining E8 Security, he was executive chairman at InterAct, a cloud-based software provider for public safety, CEO of CloudShield Technologies, a provider of cybersecurity solutions and CEO of Allocity, a software company concentrating on storage management.

Matt's wealth of experience and success in the international software sector made him the stand out choice among an impressive field of candidates. I am sure he will be instrumental in enabling Blancco to capitalise on the rapidly developing international markets for its products and to meet its full growth potential," said Blancco Chairman Rob Woodward.

Meanwhile, Simon Herrick will continue as interim chief financial officer having undertaken the role of Interim CEO since last September.

Shares in Blancco were up 2.2% at 68.50 pence per share on Wednesday.
