LONDON (Alliance News) - Blackrock World Mining Trust PLC on Tuesday said Chairman Anthony Lea has retired earlier than expected, adding it has chosen current Director Ian Cockerill to succeed him.
Lea was due to retire at the company's annual general meeting later this year, but has now retired with immediate effect and has been replaced by Cockerill, who joined the company back in 2013. Cockerill previously served as CEO at Gold Fields and Anglo Coal.
Lea retires from Blackrock World Mining Trust following a decade with the firm.
Blackrock World Mining shares closed up 4.0% to 226.75 pence per share on Tuesday.
