(Alliance News) - BlackRock Throgmorton Trust PLC on Friday said it raised GBP18.4 million in its previously announced share placing.
The London-based investment trust, which invests in small and mid-cap UK companies, said it issued 2.7 million shares at 687.63 pence per share. The stock closed at 688.00 pence in London on Friday, giving it a market capitalisation of GBP582.4 million.
The placing price represented a premium of 1.5% to its unaudited net asset value per share, including current year income per ordinary share at close of business on Thursday last week.
This brings the total number of shares issued in the past 12 months to 14.1 million, which has raised approximately GBP88.3 million in new equity via the sale of shares from treasury or the issue of new shares.
Stifel Nicolaus Europe Ltd acted as the sole bookrunner throughout the whole process as announced on Thursday.
