LONDON (Alliance News) - Blackrock North American Income Trust PLC said Wednesday that it had underperformed its benchmark in the quarter to the end of July.
The trust posted a total return on net asset value per share of 0.2%, under-performing the Russell 1000 Value Index which saw a total return of 2.4%.
The trust said that its investment objective and philosophy will not change, and it will continue to seek income growth and superior risk-adjusted returns.
Shares in the trust were trading 0.8% lower at 110.67 pence per share Wednesday afternoon.
