LONDON (Alliance News) - BlackRock North American Income Trust PLC Tuesday posted a 4.7% increase in its net asset value and a 3.2% increase in share price over the month ended October 31, while the company's benchmark returned 5.2%.
The Russell 1000 Value Index is the trust's benchmark.
"We have positioned the portfolio to benefit from a shift in market leadership and will continue to emphasize growth of income, relative protection and long term total return as the core of our process. Overall, the portfolio remains well-insulated but ready to participate should markets continue to experience gains through the end of the year," the trust said in a statement.
Net asset value per share, including income, was 111.16 pence on October 31.
The trust's shares were Tuesday quoted down 0.20% at 112.77 pence.
