(Alliance News) - BlackRock Income & Growth Investment Trust PLC said Friday it appointed Invesco's Graeme Proudfoot as a non-executive director of the company with effect from November 1, to succeed Jonathan Cartwright as chairman upon his retirement.
The company said it was the "board's intention" that Proudfoot would succeed Cartwright upon his retirement at the conclusion of the company's annual general meeting in March.
BlackRock Income & Growth Investment Trust said Proudfoot "brings a wealth of asset management expertise and experience having spent his executive career at Invesco, latterly as managing director, EMEA and chief executive officer of Invesco Pensions."
BlackRock Income & Growth Investment Trust shares were untraded in London at 200.00 pence each on Friday.
