LONDON (Alliance News) - Blackrock Income and Growth Investment Trust PLC said Friday that it had outperformed its benchmark in the quarter to end-July.
Blackrock is focused on investing in principally UK listed equities.
The trust posted a total return on net asset value of 1.5% for the quarter, outperforming a negative total return of 0.2% from the FTSE All-Share Total Return Index.
Between August 1 and Thursday, the company's net asset value rose by 0.3%, and its share price fell by 1.1%, it said.
Shares in the trust were trading up 0.2% at 166.00 pence Friday afternoon.
