(Alliance News) - Shares rose in Blackbird PLC on Wednesday as it said it has signed a "significant six-figure, multi-year deal" with broadcasting company A+E Networks.
Shares in the cloud video platform operator were 17% higher at 8.18 pence on Wednesday following the announcement.
A+E Networks in a joint venture between Hearst Communications Inc and Disney Media Networks, a unit of The Walt Disney Co.
Under the agreement, A+E Networks will incorporate Blackbird's cloud platform into its media infrastructure to manage a range of key video workflows.
By using Blackbird, A+E's Networks's video library will be saved in the cloud, where it can be accessed by executives, producers, editors and others.
Blackbird's platform will allow for live clipping, allowing A+E Networks to quickly publish content highlights to social media channels.
The company said the agreement with A+E Networks will foster Blackbird's international growth, particularly in North America.
