(Alliance News) - Blackbird PLC on Wednesday said joint venture A+E Networks will double the volume of videos edited through the Blackbird platform amid remote working expansion.
A+E Networks is a joint venture between Hearst Corporation and The Walt Disney Company.
The cloud video editing firm said that A+E Networks will double the volume of file-based content available to its production teams, enabling the teams to use Blackbird to view, edit and publish content. The expansion will allow A+E's entire production team to work remotely and collaboratively, giving them access to Blackbird's suite of editing tools via browser even on low bandwidth.
No financial details in relation to the expanded service were disclosed.
"A+E Networks and Blackbird have been building a very strong partnership this past year. As changes to working practices rapidly come into force, we will be there to fully support them as we will the rest of our global client base," said Blackbird Chief Executive Ian McDonough.
Blackbird shares were trading 17% higher at 9.10 pence each on Wednesday afternoon in London.
