LONDON (Alliance News) - Biome Technologies PLC Wednesday expressed confidence for its full-year expectations, as it saw revenues rise in the quarter to end-March.
The materials and electronic systems company posted revenues of GBP1.1 million, up from GBP400,000 in the previous year and GBP500,000 in the previous quarter.
In its Bioplastics division revenues were GBP0.5 million, as its materials saw demand from the US single-service coffee market, amongst others. It is continuing to develop its pipeline of new products using its materials, and has continued trials for products in the food service and board coating sectors.
In its Radio Frequency Technologies division revenues were up to GBP600,000 from GBP200,000, signalling an ease in the turbulent Asian fibre optic market, Biome said.
Shares in Biome were trading up 13.8% at 162.12 pence Wednesday morning.
