LONDON (Alliance News) - BigDish PLC said it will complete its beta launch in a number of restaurants in the UK city of Bath on Monday.
"The beta stage will be for an initial one month period. The goals of this first month are to ensure that the technology and booking process operates seamlessly, to test various marketing channels with a view to understanding the economics to achieve scale, and to gain insights into customer data via the BigDish proprietary business intelligence platform," the company explained.
At the end of the first month, the company, which operates yield management platforms for restaurants, plans to expand to other restaurants in Bath and Bristol.
The beta launch in Bath is the first step of a three-phase strategy for the future which the company announced at the beginning of August following its initial public offering.
BigDish listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange at the beginning of August after raising GBP1.8 million.
The second phase of the programme will see all UK customers currently on the TablePouncer platform in Bournemouth migrate to the BigDish app. BigDish bought Pouncer on the day of its IPO.
The last phase will see the roll out of the new BigDish platform to a wider UK audience with a particular focus on small town where the restaurant app market "is less saturated", BigDish explained.
BigDish shares were trading down 2.7% at 3.65 pence each on Monday.
