LONDON (Alliance News) - BigDish PLC said its restaurant booking app will go live in a selected number of Bristol restaurants on Thursday after its Bournemouth launch exceeded forecasts.
BigDish shares were trading up 9.7% at 1.92 pence each.
The firm's launched its app in Bournemouth two weeks ago and that, since then, "has been more successful than expected". At one restaurant around 250 people were seated over the past two weeks using the app.
Furthermore, BigDish has concluded its strategic review of its Asian business.
"It has been determined the company is best placed to focus all its resources towards the UK market where faster growth is easier to achieve. Talks have taken place with a number of large tech companies who have expressed an interest in BigDish," the firm added.
On Wednesday, the company announced the appointment of Sanj Naha as its new chief executive.
