(Alliance News) - BigDish PLC on Monday said it has added a record number of restaurants on its platform in the fourth week of February amid high demand.
The stock was 5.7% higher in London in late-morning trade at 3.01 pence each.
The yield management platform operator said it has added 166 new restaurants in February, taking the total number of restaurants on its platform to 562.
The company said an additional 21 restaurants have agreed to join BigDish in the near-term, increasing the total to 583 restaurants.
BigDish said it has experienced an increase in demand for its services from restaurants in the fourth week of February. This resulted in a record week, in which 58 restaurants were added.
In the meantime, BigDish said it continues to focus on recruitment in order to increase the size of the team to ten persons.
As the team increases in size, the company said it expects the pace of restaurant growth to continue.
Elsewhere, BigDish said it continued to work on a complete overhaul of the search functionality within the app. These changes to the search functionality will be "progressively" rolled out, the company said, starting in the coming weeks.
"I am pleased with the pace of growth in February and to have surpassed the 500 restaurant mark. It is also very pleasing to see that we are starting to gain some traction with restaurant groups and that quality restaurants are joining BigDish," said Chief Executive Tom Sumner.
"The technology team has been working on some exciting product functionality improvements specifically for restaurant groups and I look forward to being able to update the market in due course," added Sumner.
