BigDish Outlook Confident As Restaurant On Platform Double

3rd Feb 2020 14:51

(Alliance News) - BigDish PLC on Monday said it saw a surge in client numbers in January, with further growth expected throughout 2020.

The food technology company said it mostly focused on recruitment and setting up new systems in December 2019 to accelerate growth from the beginning of 2020.

The number of restaurant using BigDish technology have more than doubled since mid-November. There are currently 351 restaurants live on the BigDish platform and an additional 91 restaurants that have agreed to join BigDish, compared to 177 restaurants registered as at November 12 last year.

The number of locations across the UK also increased, BigDish said, and restaurant numbers have risen in key locations, including London.

"We have had a great start to the year. We have effectively doubled the number of restaurants on the platform in just one month as well as seen big increases across other key metrics," said Chief Executive Tom Sumner.

He added: "I am confident that we can continue to progress with the build out of what will become a national product."

Looking ahead, the company said its main focus for 2020 is restaurant acquisition and accelerating the growth of restaurant numbers.

BigDish shares were trading 3.1% higher in London on Monday at 2.99 pence each.
