Bigblu Expands Half-Year Customers And Revenue On Acquisitions

4th Jul 2018 11:07

LONDON (Alliance News) - Internet service provider Bigblu Broadband PLC said Wednesday its half-year revenue and customer numbers increased on the back of successful acquisitions.

In the six months to May 31, the company's total number of customers hiked 22% to 123,000 from just over 100,000 at the start of the financial year.

Currently, following a disposal of non-core Australian fibre customers, the total number of clients stands at 112,000.

The provider posted half-year revenue of GBP25 million, up 20% year-on-year from GBP21 million. Like-for-like organic revenue growth on a constant currency basis was 7% reflecting a "solid performance" from the core business, the company said.

"The contributions from recent acquisitions in Italy and Germany have significantly expanded the company's operational footprint and scale across Europe," Bigblu said.

The company said it is confident that the good performance will continue for the remainder of the year.

"The company continues to evaluate further complementary acquisition opportunities and technologies as part of its growth strategy and is confident of achieving its previously stated 2020 target of 150,000 customers," it added.

Shares were trading 3.5% higher at 119.00 pence each.
