Big Yellow Group Buys Two Freehold Sites In London For Undisclosed Sum

LONDON (Alliance News) - Big Yellow Group PLC on Tuesday said it acquired two freehold sites in the outskirts of London.

The FTSE 250 self-storage company acquired a freehold sites in Wembley, north London, and Kingston North in south west London.

No financial details of the transactions were disclosed.

The two sites increased the company's pipeline of new stores to 12, which on completion will boost capacity by 760,000 square feet.

"Our pipeline of proposed new stores will over the medium term make a considerable contribution to the group's earnings and importantly continues to consolidate our leading position in London," Chief Executive James Gibson said.

"We continue to look for opportunities to acquire more development land."

Big Yellow shares were trading up 0.4% at 947.00 pence each early Tuesday morning.
